NIFTINKER / PRIVACY
Privacy for BilderAufräumer
In brief
We do not receive any photos, videos or location data through BilderAufräumer. There is no user account, advertising, tracking or analytics. Photos are analysed on your iPhone. Apple services may be used for iCloud content and to display place names, as explained below.
Responsible party
You can find the responsible party and contact details in the legal notice.
Access to your photo library
To help you tidy up photos and videos, the app asks for access to your photo library. You choose whether to allow full or limited access. You can change or revoke access at any time in iPhone Settings. Subjects and similar photos are recognised on your device. BilderAufräumer does not send photos or videos to NifTinker or external image analysis services.
Deleting photos
Photos and videos are only deleted when you choose to do so in the app and confirm in Apple’s system prompt. Deleted items go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app. If iCloud Photos is enabled, deletions also apply to your other devices.
Loading from iCloud
If originals are stored only in your iCloud photo library, Apple’s Photos system loads them onto your iPhone as needed. This transfer takes place between your device and Apple, not through NifTinker. It may use mobile data.
Displaying photo locations
If a photo contains saved location data, the app can display where it was taken. To do this, the photo’s coordinates are sent to Apple’s geocoding service, which returns a place name. The app does not request your current location. It does not permanently store location data or include it in the progress file. Places that have already been resolved are temporarily cached in memory.
Apple services are subject to Apple’s privacy policy ↗.
Reminders
If you enable the optional daily reminder, it is scheduled as a local notification on your iPhone. No data is sent to NifTinker for this. You can turn the reminder off again in the app and change notification permissions in iPhone Settings.
Data stored on your device
Your decisions, progress and settings are stored locally on your iPhone. Deleting the app removes this app data. It may be included in an iPhone backup that you manage yourself with Apple or on your computer.
Free use and the App Store
BilderAufräumer is free, without subscriptions, in-app purchases or advertising. When you download through the App Store, Apple processes data under its own privacy policy.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, your details are processed to handle the request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request concerns pre-contractual or contractual measures; otherwise it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data are deleted once the request has been resolved, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Your rights
Subject to the legal requirements, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes
We update this policy when the app changes. The version published here applies.
